By integrating FSR(Force Sensing Resistor) and IMU, the insoles can detect plantar pressure and foot posture. I choose ble chip to send data to cellphone or PC, so it can be used for gait analysis. The insoles integrate wireless power charging and antenna either, which looks similar to an ordinary insole from the appearance.
This solution can also be applied to shoes. If interested, you can refer to: https://zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/2020121495549002419.

Well that’s fun! What will you use the data for?

Welcome to the forum! Thanks for sharing your interesting project!
Are you hoping to sell these insoles as a commercial product, or is this part of your own shoemaking work or hobby?
I have not done any orthopedic analysis myself. Only a few efforts to try to match the bottoms of lasts or footbeds to the shapes of the plantar surfaces. But many of us here are very interested in orthopedic techniques and technologies.
Get useful information, such as parkinson, diabetic foot, fall detection, etc, which related to abnormal gait scenarios. Hope it can be used for precaution and rehabilitation monitoring.
Pressure sensing insoles have been done before for research etc but I think this method of data transfer may make these more accessible for broader use. Cant wait to see what you do with them!
I spend 4 years on this project, and hope it can be a commercial product honestly. I have no competence on orthopedic techniques and technologies, so I really need to communication deeply with such experts. Thanks a lot.

Yes, similar products exist already. But they’re too expansive to afforded by ordinary people. Thanks.
