Vintage hole punches from the collection of a retired Japanese shoemaker.
2 double hole punches of diameter 1.5mm
3 double hole punches of diameter 1 mm
2 single hole punches unknown diameter but <= 1mm
The double hole punches are used for brogueing and they are basically just 2 punches welded together.
A fair amount of surface rust and mushrooming. The blades aren’t super sharp but I didn’t have any trouble getting holes in 1 hit on <1.6mm calf leathers using the OKA punch board.
I didn’t take good notes on this but I remember reading that common sizes for brogueing are:
3+1 mm
3.5+1.5 mm
2.5+0.8 mm
