Last anti-stick agents

Alright so point of discussion, now that JJ baby powder is corn starch and basically water soluble, what are you using to keep your last from getting stuck? I bought some bulk pure talc off amazon i plan to use unless some miraculous alternative has come along

Addendum-
Candidates i have in my drawer include ptfe powder for bike chains and b’laster ptfe dry lube spray, those seem promising. Also Bentonite clay, and stoma powder (not sure what that’s made of but it doesnt dissolve in water)

All the sources I’d read leading up to my first pair said “talc” or “French chalk”, which is talc, so I just got that.

Searching for it as “pure talc” or the like can get you a bunch of very small, high-margin packages marketed for beauty or personal care. That’s fine, and probably most convenient. But talc’s also used by tire and bicycle shops for mounting tires. You might be able to buy it through a local shop with a trade account at a commercial supplier.

I put mine in a stainless steel sugar duster, like this one on Amazon. When I put it away for storage, I stretch a bit of plastic kitchen film over the container before screwing on the top. Keeps it from spilling.

I got this quart for $16

That’s a lot of talc. I think you’re set.

There is a warning on there about not inhaling it. Does anyone takes that seriously?

Never thought about it. Was never tempted to huff any, either.
