Great topic idea!
I’m just a beginner, too. But three thoughts came to mind looking at your photos:

Cool space!

I was really happy when I figured out that since I work seated, I can absolutely lay tools with handles on the floor and just pick them up straight off the ground. Mostly, this has changed my game with hammers. It’s nice to have something to lean them against down there, even if they mostly stay standing on their own. I’ve also got in the habit of laying pliers over the edge of a plastic milk crate that I keep a bunch of supplies in. It makes a nice little improvised rack, just a little below my natural reach from a chair.

Most of my knives and handled tools I keep in tool rolls. I can throw a tool roll over the back of a chair to make everything accessible at a glance from shoulder height. The only trouble I’ve had with this is when I happen to take a bunch of tools out of one side of the roll. Sometimes the remaining heavy side will want to slide off the back of the chain. I could probably avoid that by throwing a bit of neoprene or drawer liner under the tool roll.
