Those of you who use broken glass to scrape your soles… What sort of glass do you use, and where do you get it cheaply, or for free?
Also… is there some trick to breaking the glass while creating minimal waste?
I grabbed a 12x12 piece on amazon and a glass cutter
As to breaking, there is a video that does well explaining the process by George Koleff the quality isn’t the best but there are some clear closeups.
Local glass company will likely dispose of smaller pieces. Second hand store picture frames, habitat for humanity re-store.
I got some panes out of a window sash someone had set out for trash. I score the edge with a narrow rat-tail file I also use for sharpening awls and such.
